About

I live in Yorkshire with my wife (the one that keeps me sane) and our six cats Kain, Razz, Buggles, Charlie, Bilbo and Frodo (the ones that test my fragile sanity). I’ve always considered myself more of a thinker than speaker, not the Socrates/Plato type you understand, but I do prefer to express my thoughts and ideas on paper.

I have many interests: films, books, music, video games, walking, the countryside, Internet, Twitter, sport and Jack Daniels. I’m also partial to weekly doses of pain in the form of my unwavering allegiance to my hometown football club, Barnsley FC, whose perennial relegation battles have inspired many a dark tale and kept me up at night.

I first conceived the idea of Elenchera at college and began writing about this world in 1999. In the last ten years I have written five novels, several short stories and an in-depth history of Elenchera that begins with its creation and currently covers more than 47,000 years. I won’t deny the work is gruelling but it’s been with me for a decade now and I would honestly be lost without it.

If you’ve got this far and are still willing to join me on this journey then why not follow me on Twitter (@elenchera) or Facebook (The World According to Dave).
