#BlogFlash2013: Day Nineteen – City
I live in a village with Frizzy Hair, Beard Face and the other cats. We have a canal, fields and trees nearby so the idea of a vast city does not appeal to me. I prefer to be in a more rural settings with fewer roads and more birds in the trees. Do you have trees in cities? You do? Oh, I may try visiting a city one day though I hear the kitty gangs are pretty fierce when it comes to battles over the contents of the wheelie bins.
Charlie is a big fan of cities. His interest isn’t from a tourist point of view but more from a military conquest point of view. He and his sidekick Buggles frequently make plans to take out English cities by any means necessary. Toothpaste, bleach, cuddly toys, toenail clippings, you name it, they’ll have considered it as a means of destroying their target cities. You can rest easy though. Their map reading skills are not good. The last city they targeted was Newcastle in the north of England. Upon reaching the target after months of travel (it would have been maybe 2 hours on the train) they discovered they had misread the map and were at Ayers Rock instead! It took them about 2 years to get home!
